The Busan Gudeok Stadium ( Korean 부산 구덕 운동장 ; Hanja : 釜山 九 德 運動場) is a football stadium with an athletics facility in the Seo-gu district of the South Korean city of Busan , Gyeongsangnam-do Province .
history
The stadium, which opened in September 1928, has space for 24,363 spectators. It is the home ground of the Busan IPark football club and the Busan Transportation Corporation FC . The venue is located in the Gudeok Sports Complex to the u. a. include the Gudeok ballpark with 10,000 seats and the Gudeok sports hall with 4,289 seats.
During the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul , eight games, including a semi-final of the Olympic football tournament , took place in the Busan Gudeok Stadium. It was also the venue for the track and field competitions of the II East Asian Games in 1997.
In May 2017, plans to modernize the Gudeok Sports Complex were presented.
