The Gyeongju Stadium ( Korean 경주 시민 운동장 ) is a football stadium with an athletics facility in the South Korean city of Gyeongju in the eastern province of Gyeongsangbuk-do . The facility, opened in 1979, is located in Hwangseong Park and offers 12,199 seats on the tiers. Except for part of the main stand, the stadium is uncovered. In 1992 it was renovated. The sports facility in the Hwangseong-dong district is used by the Gyeongju Citizen FC , Gyeongju KHNP FC (men) and Gyeongju KHNP WFC (women) football clubs.
Every year, the Gyeongju Stadium serves as the destination for the Gyeongju International Marathon .
