Tim Väyrynen (born March 30, 1993 in Espoo ) is a Finnish football player . He is currently under contract with HJK Helsinki .

Career

Tim Väyrynen comes from the youth department of FC Honka Espoo and made his debut in the Veikkausliiga on April 18, 2010 in a 3-1 home win over Myllykosken Pallo -47 when he came into the game for Aleksandr Kokko in the 78th minute . In the following season he succeeded on the 4th match day, on May 15, 2011, in the 5th minute of the 1-0 winner in the game against Rovaniemi PS . He scored six more goals by the end of the season. From then on, Väyrynen was an integral part of the first team and in the 2013 season he made his national breakthrough. He became the top scorer of the Veikkausliiga 2013 with 17 goals . He was also the player of the month in June and October and made it into the top eleven of the league in June, September and October. In addition, he was voted the best striker and best player of the season.

On January 10, 2014, he moved to the 3rd division for Borussia Dortmund II , where he received a contract until 2016. On February 22nd, Väyrynen made his debut at the home game against MSV Duisburg , when he came on for Julian Derstroff in the 75th minute and scored 2-0 in stoppage time.

In January 2015, Vayrynen was loaned to the western regional division FC Viktoria Köln until summer 2015 in order to gain match practice there.

For the 2015/16 season he moved to Dynamo Dresden and signed a two-year contract. He played his first competitive game for Dynamo on matchday one in a 4-1 win against VfB Stuttgart II , where he also scored his first goal for Dynamo.

In the winter of 2016/17 Vayrynen moved to the 3rd football league for FC Hansa Rostock and had 12 missions by the end of the season in which he was able to score a goal. He was also the winner of the Rostock regional cup . In the following season he was used 29 times by coach Pavel Dotchev . He scored four goals and was sixth with Hansa at the end of the third division season 2017/18 . At the end of the season he won the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania State Cup a second time with the cog.

Roda JC Kerkrade signed him in summer 2018. In summer 2019 he moved back to Finland and joined HJK Helsinki.

National team

Väyrynen played for the Finnish U-19 and U-21 national teams . In qualifying for the U-19 European Championship in 2012 , he scored once in each of the games against Croatia (2-4) and Moldova (4-2). He also took part in two qualifying rounds for the U-21 European Championship finals for the U-21 national team ( 2013 and 2015 ). In the qualifier on August 14, 2013 against the Welsh U-21 national team , he scored three goals in a 5-1 away win.

On October 31, 2013, Väyrynen made his international debut in a friendly against Mexico (2-4).
