Aubigny-sur-Nere is a commune with 5488 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement Vierzon and the canton of Aubigny-sur-Nère . The inhabitants call themselves Albania .
geography
The community is located around 60 kilometers southeast of Orléans . Are neighboring communities
- Argent-sur-Sauldre in the north,
- Blancafort in the northeast,
- Oizon in the east and southeast,
- Ennordres in the south and southwest as well
- Sainte-Montaine in the west and in the northwest.
The Nère , a tributary of the Sauldre , passes the city. The river Oisenotte runs along the eastern border of the municipality .
Transport links
The main road in the municipality is the department road D940 which of Bourges leads north. In the village of Aubigny-sur-Nère, it forms a star-shaped branch into many other departmental roads. A railway line ended in Aubigny, which is no longer in operation today and was used for a time for tourist trolley trips with pedal drive ( Vélo-Rail d'Aubigny-sur-Nère ). To the west of the municipality is the Aubigny-sur-Nère airfield.
