Foëcy is a French commune with 2,085 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Vierzon and the canton of Mehun-sur-Yèvre . The inhabitants are called Focéens .

geography

Foëcy is located about nine kilometers south-east of Vierzon on the Yèvre and the Canal de Berry . In the west, the Cher delimits the community. Foëcy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vignoux-sur-Barangeon in the north and east, Allouis in the east and south-east, Mehun-sur-Yèvre in the south-east, Quincy in the south, Brinay in the west and Vierzon in the north-west.

The A71 autoroute runs through the municipality .
