Clémont is a French municipality with 719 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Vierzon and the canton Aubigny-sur-Nère (until 2015: canton Argent-sur-Sauldre ). The inhabitants are called Clémontois .

geography

Clémont is the northernmost municipality in the Cher department. It is located about 48 kilometers south-southeast of Orléans in the Sologne on the Sauldre and the Canal de la Sauldre . Clémont is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cerdon in the north, Argent-sur-Sauldre in the east, Sainte-Montaine in the south and Brinon-sur-Sauldre in the west.
