The Corgoň liga 2008/09 was the 16th season of the top Slovak men's division in football. The season began on July 19, 2008 and ended on May 30, 2009. The opening game was played by the champions of the 2007/08 season FC Artmedia Petržalka and the promoted 1. FC Tatran Prešov . ŠK Slovan Bratislava became the champion for the fifth time . The club secured the championship on matchday 29 against FC Nitra .
