The FK Dukla Banská Bystrica is a Slovak sports and football club from Banská Bystrica (German: Neusohl). Dukla is an army club and one of the most traditional and strongest football clubs in Slovakia.
history
The first football club in Neusohl was founded in 1904 (Besztercebányai Sport Club). The Army Club began operating in the city in 1965. Anton Ondruš , a former Dukla player, was the captain of the victorious Czechoslovak national team during the 1976 European Championship in Yugoslavia . It was not only the biggest day for football in Czechoslovakia, but especially for football in Slovakia; In the final, nine Slovaks also played in the team that defeated the Germans.
