Bohumil Musil (born May 10, 1922 in Prague , † December 5, 1999 ) was a Czechoslovak football player and football coach .

Player career

Bohumil Musil started playing football at Novoměstský SK . The midfielder played for SK Baťa Zlín from 1940 to 1941 and for Sparta Prague B from 1946 to 1947 . From 1947 to 1951 he was in the team of ŠK NV Banská Bystrica , in the last two years he was game coach.

Coaching career

From 1951 to 1952 Musil looked after the Czechoslovak national team in four games. He then worked for many years as a coach at Dukla Prague in the junior, B-team or as an assistant. He was head coach from 1959/60 and from 1966 to 1968. In 1966 he was still Czechoslovakian champion with Dukla after a large deficit. From 1969 to 1971 he sat in the coaching bench of Dukla Banská Bystrica , in the 1971/72 season he was responsible for the team of VCHZ Pardubice. From 1972 to 1975 he trained Bohemians Prague . He then moved to Slavia Prague , where he mainly worked as a youth coach. From July 1979 to December 1980 he was head coach. In 1981 he went to DP Xaverov Praha , where he trained until 1983.

Musil was also the coach of the Czechoslovak U21 team and other Czechoslovak junior teams.
