Vierlings is a village and a cadastral community of the Schweiggers community in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria . The Schaufelhof also belongs to the cadastral community .

history

The place name refers to the four original courts of the foundation. The first documentary mention was made in 1423. Later 8 original fiefs are mentioned and in 1499 there were 11 fiefdoms.

Population development

In a census in 1869, Vierlings reached its historic high with 77 inhabitants. The place currently has 20 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). The data are only comparable to a limited extent, because around 1970 the village of Hirschenhof was added to the neighboring market town of Großschönau .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 6 building areas with 3,773 m² and 2 gardens on 1,440 m² in the cadastral community Vierlings , in 1989/1990 there were 5 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 10 and in 2009/2010 there were 8 buildings on 17 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 51 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 16 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 51 hectares and 17 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 51 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 17 hectares. The average soil climate number of Vierlings is 22.3 (as of 2010).
