Windhof is a village and a cadastral municipality in the Schweiggers community in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 25 building areas with 10,795 m² and 18 gardens on 7,056 m² in the cadastral community of Windhof , in 1989/1990 there were 25 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 66 and in 2009/2010 there were 37 buildings on 82 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 87 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 35 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 83 hectares and 37 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 83 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 37 hectares. Windhof's average soil climate number is 27.8 (as of 2010).
