Sallingstadt is a village and a cadastral municipality in the Schweiggers municipality in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .
history
The first documentary mention as a act of blessing (with reference to a place , i.e. not a city ) is proven on December 21, 1268, at the latest in 1350 there was an independent parish . The place suffered in the wars of Emperor Rudolf against King Ottokar (1276–1278), the Hussite Wars (1419–1436) and the Thirty Years War (1618–1648). From 1621 to 1783 the parish Sallingstadt belonged to the parish Großglobnitz . In 1898 the volunteer fire brigade was founded, which had to pass its first practical test in a major fire in 1900. The incorporation into the large community of Schweiggers took place in 1971. 1977–1980 the Thaya was regulated in the local area .
Settlement development
At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there was a total of 78 building areas with 41,061 m² and 41 gardens on 11,894 m² in the cadastral community of Sallingstadt , in 1989/1990 there were 75 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 190 and in 2009/2010 there were 112 buildings on 230 building areas.
Land use
The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 466 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 165 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 447 hectares and 173 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 443 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 175 hectares. The average soil climate in Sallingstadt is 26.8 (as of 2010).
