Schaufelhof is a small town in the market town of Schweiggers in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria . The single farm is part of the hamlet of Vierlings .

history

The Schaufelhof was first mentioned in a document in 1581 and is a separate farm with a pond. In 2002 the farm was converted to organic farming with sheep farming. When a farm building was demolished in 1911, a large number of late medieval silver and copper coins were found.

Personalities

Leopold Pruckner, later cathedral capitular of the diocese of St. Pölten, was born in Schaufelhof in 1795.
