Wadelheim-Bentlage

The Wadelheim-Bentlage nature reserve is located in the area of the municipality of Neuenkirchen and the city of Rheine in the Steinfurt district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The area, which consists of four sub-areas, extends north of the core town of Neuenkirchen and west of the core city of Rheine. The state border with Lower Saxony runs along the western edge of the area, the state road L 501 runs to the north, and the Rheine-Bentlage airfield runs to the east and the B 70 runs along it .

For Neuenkirchen and Rheine, an area of 56.49 hectares has been designated as a nature reserve under the identification number ST-015 since 1988 . The area has been placed under protection for conservation and development
