The Mesumer Mark nature reserve is located in the area of the cities of Emsdetten and Rheine in the Steinfurt district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The area extends northwest of the core city of Emsdetten and southeast of Mesum , a district of Rheine. The state road L 578 runs to the north, the B 481 runs to the east and the Ems flows . The 341.7 hectare nature reserve Emsdettener Venn extends south-west .
