The nature reserve Steinbruch Gravenhorst is located in the area of ​​the town of Hörstel in the Steinfurt district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The area extends southeast of the core town of Hörstel. The A 30 runs to the north, the Mittelland Canal to the northeast and the Dortmund-Ems Canal to the south . The 29.64 hectare nature reserve Alte Fahrt extends to the north .
