The Saerbeck wetland nature reserve is located in the municipality of Saerbeck in the Steinfurt district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The area extends northeast of the core town of Saerbeck directly on the Dortmund-Ems Canal, which flows on the eastern edge . The Am Janhaarspool nature reserve connects to the west and runs along the B 219 .

For Saerbeck, a 243.134 hectare area has been designated as a nature reserve under the identification number ST-029 since 1983 . The area, which consists of three sub-areas, was placed under protection for the preservation, development and restoration of communities and biotopes , in particular of rare and z.
