The nature reserve Halverder Aa-Niederung lies in the area of ​​the municipality Hopsten in the district Steinfurt in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The area, which consists of two sub-areas, extends northeast of the core town of Hopsten and south directly adjacent to Shell , a district of the municipality of Hopsten. The state road L 593 runs east of the area ; the state border with Lower Saxony runs not far to the west, north and east.
