The Haverforths Wiesen und Grützemacher Kanälchen nature reserve is located in the area of the town of Hörstel and the municipality of Saerbeck in the Steinfurt district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The area extends north of the core town of Saerbeck. East which runs B 219 and flows the Dortmund Ems channel , southeast extends the 243 ha large protected area wetland Saerbeck .

For Hörstel and Saerbeck, an area of 251.88 hectares has been designated as a nature reserve under the identification number ST-031 since 1983.
