The Waldhügel nature reserve is located in the city of Rheine in the Steinfurt district of North Rhine-Westphalia .
The area extends south of the core city of Rheine and south of Dorenkamp , a district of Rheine. The B 70 runs to the west, the B 481 runs to the east and flows the Ems .
