The Dieckwiesen nature reserve lies on the territory of the municipalities of Lotte and Westerkappeln in the Steinfurt district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The area extends north of the core town of Lotte and southeast of the core town of Westerkappeln. North passes the national road L 595, east flows Düte and passes the A 1 . The state border with Lower Saxony runs southeast.
