The nature reserve Swatt Möörken ( Black Mörken, high German literally “Black Mörchen ”) is located in the area of the city of Rheine in the Steinfurt district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The area extends east of the core city of Rheine and west of Bevergern , a district of Hörstel . The Dortmund-Ems Canal flows north and the A 30 runs, while the L 591 state road runs south. The 8.81 hectare nature reserve Torflöcher on Galgenkamp extends to the east and the 8.15 hectare Saltenwiese-Fernrodde NSG to the south-east .
