The Hanseller Floth nature reserve is located in the city of Greven in the Steinfurt district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The area extends southwest of the core city of Greven and northwest of Hansell , a farming community in Altenberge . West extending national road  529, east extending the circuit road  13, and the A 1 . The Flothbach flows not far to the west . The 15.89 hectare nature reserve (NSG) Rottbusch extends to the  south and the 17.79 hectare wet meadow Hansell south-west .

A 16.24 hectare area has been designated as a nature reserve for Greven since 1984 under the identification number ST-009. The area has been placed under protection for conservation and development
