Rottbusch

The Rottbusch nature reserve is located in the area of the independent city of Münster in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The area extends northwest of the core city of Münster and west of Sprakel , the northernmost district of Münster. State road L 529 runs to the west and south-west, district road K 13 and A 1 run to the east . The 16.24 hectare large nature reserve (NSG) Hanseller Floth extends to the north and the 17.79 hectare large NSG Feuchtwiese Hansell to the west .

Since 1994, a 15.89 hectare area has been designated as a nature reserve for Münster under the identification number MS-009. The area was placed under protection for conservation
- a rich, moist oak - hornbeam forest in typical form with a particularly richly developed herb layer
- the morphological small structures in the form of walls and periodically water-bearing ditches.
