The Davert nature reserve is located in the area of the independent city of Münster in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The area, which consists of five sub-areas, extends south of the core city of Münster and east of the core town of Senden . Through the area through which runs A 1 . The Dortmund-Ems Canal flows north and the B 54 runs to the east . Southwest extends the 707.58 ha large nature reserve of the same name Davert , part of the District of Coesfeld and southeast which is also the same, 735.64 hectare nature reserve Davert in the district of Warendorf.
The nature reserve is part of the EU bird sanctuary of the same name " Davert ".
meaning
Since 2000, an area of 785.525 hectares has been designated as a nature reserve for Münster under the identification number MS-014. The area was placed under protection for the preservation, promotion and restoration of communities and biotopes of typical landscape animal and plant species in a large, contiguous forest area with enclosed and adjacent open land biotopes . The ordinance serves to protect indigenous deciduous forests .
