The Davert nature reserve lies on the territory of the communities of Ascheberg and Senden in the Coesfeld district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The approximately 704 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 2000 , extends northwest of the core town of Ascheberg and southeast of the core town of Senden on both sides of the A1 . The Dortmund-Ems Canal runs northwest.
The nature reserve is part of the EU bird sanctuary of the same name " Davert ".
