The Lippeaue nature reserve (COE-027) is located in the city of Olfen in the Coesfeld district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The approximately 157.6 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1992 , extends southwest of the core city of Olfen along the Lippe . The B 235 crosses the area in a north-south direction. The Wesel-Datteln Canal and the L 609 state road run to the south-west, while the Dortmund-Ems Canal runs to the east .
