Heubachwiesen nature reserve (COE-029) (October 2009)

The Heubachwiesen nature reserve (COE-029) is located in the city of Dülmen in the Coesfeld district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The 99.03 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1982 , extends east of Maria Veen , a district of the municipality of Reken . The state road  600 runs north.

meaning

The protection is provided for the preservation, development and restoration of communities and habitats of rare and in some cases highly endangered plant and animal species typical of the landscape, in particular waders and meadow birds , geese , amphibians and invertebrates, as well as rare, sometimes endangered plants and plant communities in open water and the moist to wet grassland .

The nature reserve is part of the EU bird sanctuary " Heubach lowlands, Lavesumer Bruch and Borkenberge ".
