The Heubachwiesen nature reserve (BOR) is located in the municipality of Reken in the Borken district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The area, which consists of four sub-areas, extends north, northeast and east of the core town of Reken. The federal highway 67 and the state highway 608 cross the area, the federal highway 31 runs to the west.
The nature reserve is part of the EU bird sanctuary " Heubach lowlands, Lavesumer Bruch and Borkenberge ".

For Reken, a 468.31 hectare area has been designated as a nature reserve under the identification number BOR-032 since 1982 . The area was placed under protection for the preservation, development and restoration of communities or habitats, of rare, sometimes highly endangered, plant and animal species typical of the landscape, in particular of waders and meadow birds , geese , amphibians and invertebrates, as well as rare, sometimes endangered plant communities of the open Water and moist grassland .
