Location, ecology
The area is located between the villages of Ottenstein and Alstätte in the peasantry Hörsteloe . However, it is divided into seven small areas, which are located on hilltops and flat dune hills.
There are mostly fields between the partial areas. A silted-up heather pond is part of the northeastern part of the area. In the reserve there are well pronounced juniper areas , heather areas and smaller stocks of a birch-oak forest . Endangered plants such as the English gorse or silver grass can also be found. A tree frog population has settled in the named body of water .
Since 2004, the juniper heather has been tended by local homeland associations and local groups. In some places there are hairy gorse , cartilage and quendel silk again .
