The Ellewicker Feld is a 72 hectare nature reserve in the urban area of Vreden in the Borken district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Location, ecology

Ellewicker Feld is located west of Vreden near the village of Ellewick-Crosewick in the Münsterland district of Borken , very close to the border with the Netherlands . It consists almost entirely of grassland, but includes some smaller bodies of water. These are either old pasture pond or scale in recent years Blänken .

tourism

The Ellewicker Feld is in the immediate vicinity of the famous Zwillbrocker Venn . The nature reserve is connected to the NRW cycling network (Wabe 56) and is located on the cross-border Flamingo Route, a themed route in the Münsterland cycling region . The junction 48 and thus the connection to the Dutch junction system lies to the west directly on the Dutch-German border.
