The former Hülstener Wacholderheide nature reserve is located in the municipality of Reken in the Borken district in North Rhine-Westphalia and is now part of the Weisses Venn - Geisheide nature reserve .

The area extends southeast of the core town of Reken and southeast of the Reken district of Hülsten . The state road L 652 runs to the southwest .

An area of 2.605 hectares has been designated as a nature reserve for Reken since 1962. The area was placed under protection for the preservation and development of a juniper heather . In 2008 the nature reserve was considerably enlarged and renamed to "Weißes Venn - Geisheide", which also took over the original identifier BOR-036.
