Liesner Wald is located in the city of Stadtlohn in the Borken district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The area extends northeast of the core city Stadtlohn and northwest of the Stadtlohn district of Büren . The state road L 572 runs to the west and the A 31 to the east .

meaning

Since 2005, a 205.10 hectare area has been designated as a nature reserve for Stadtlohn under the identification number BOR-025. The area was placed under protection in order to maintain and develop one of the largest contiguous deciduous forest areas in North Rhine-Westphalia. The source of the Ahauser Aa is located in the Liesner Forest .
