Serechowytschi (Ukrainian Сереховичі ; Russian Сереховичи / Serechowitschi , Polish Serechowicze ) is a village in the western Ukraine in the Oblast Volyn region , Stara Vyzhivka Raion about 17 km of the Rajonshauptortes east Stara Vyzhivka and 87 km of the Oblasthauptstadt northwest Lutsk situated around a lake in a swampy area .
On July 21, 2017, the village became the center of the newly founded rural community of Serekhovychi (Ukrainian Сереховичівська сільська громада / Serechowytschiwska silska hromada ). This also includes the 6 villages Hrabowe (Грабове), Komarowe (Комарове), Nyzi (Ниці), Nowa Wolja (Нова Воля), Solowji (Солов'ї) and Synowe (Синове das), until then Villages Hrabowe and Nowa Wolja the district council of the same name .
history
The place was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1502 and until 1793 belonged to the aristocratic republic of Poland-Lithuania in the Ruthenia / Chełmer Land voivodeship . With the partitions of Poland , the place fell to the Russian Empire and was in the Volhynia governorate until the end of the First World War .
After the First World War, the place became part of Poland (in the Voivodeship of Volyn , Powiat Kowel , Gmina Niesuchojeże ), during the Second World War it was occupied by the Soviet Union between 1939 and 1941 . After the attack on the Soviet Union in June 1941, it was occupied by Germany until 1944 , this divided the place into the Reichskommissariat Ukraine in the general district Brest-Litowsk / Volhynien-Podolia , district Kowel .
After the war, the place was added to the Soviet Union. There the village came to the Ukrainian SSR and since 1991 it has been part of today's Ukraine.
