The Sandoleyre is a river at the southern foot of the Jura in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland . It arises in the municipality of Aubonne VD from the confluence of the source streams Nizon and Ruisseau des Rotières, which are roughly the same length .

Spring streams
Nizon
The Nizon, also called Ruisseau des Chaux , rises near Essertines-sur-Rolle between the farms of Bocherens and Pré Gentil . It flows to the northeast and, at 3.6 km, is the somewhat longer source stream.
Ruisseau des Rotières
The source of the 3.5 km long Ruisseau des Rotières , also known as Ruisseau des Rot t ières , is located southwest of the municipality of St-Oyens . It runs in a north-easterly direction and unites at the Courtillet court, which belongs to Aubonne, with the Nizon to Sandoleyre. The Ruisseau des Rotières is also considered the upper reaches of the Sandoleyre.

After the confluence of the source streams, the Sandoleyre reaches the municipality of Montherod after about 80 m . It runs to the northeast and flows into the reservoir de La Vaux, through which the Aubonne flows .
