Dawda Bah (born November 12, 1983 in Banjul ) is a Gambian football player .
Club career
Dawda Bah began his career in his home country in the youth of the first division club Hawks Banjul , where he then made the jump to the first team in 2002.
In 2005 Bah then moved to the Finnish second division club Kokkolan Palloveikot, where he was able to convince with his hit rate, became a regular and attracted attention. In just under two and a half years, he scored twenty-seven goals in forty-nine games. He also played a game (one goal) in the third division for FC Kipparit , whose team had merged with the second team of Kokkolan Palloveikot. In the summer of 2007 he then moved to the first division club HJK Helsinki on a free transfer . There he was able to establish himself as a regular player. By 2011, he had completed a hundred and one games and scored nineteen times. He was also three times Finnish champion and two Finnish cup winners with HJK .
In the summer of 2011, the German Bundesliga club FC Augsburg signed Bah. He received a contract until June 2013 and cost about 200,000 euros transfer fee. On September 9, 2011, the 5th matchday of the 2011/12 season , Bah made his Bundesliga debut when he came on for Axel Bellinghausen in the 77th minute in the home game against Bayer 04 Leverkusen (1: 4) . Five days later he suffered a patellar fracture while training and was out until the end of the 2011/12 season. On January 24, 2013, the club dissolved the contract with Bah.
Bah returned to Finland in early March 2013 and signed a one-year contract with first division club Kuopion Palloseura . In April 2014 Bah then moved to the first team of Myllykosken Pallo -47 and stayed there until the end of the year. He then went back to Kokkolan Palloveikot. After the two-year contract had expired, Bah left the club at the end of 2016. Bah has been without a club since then.
National team
For the Gambian national soccer team , he played his first game on April 9, 2000 against the national team of Morocco. In addition, he was in action during the qualification for the soccer world championship 2002 and the qualification for the soccer world championship 2006. Overall, Bah took part in nine games of the Gambian national football team between 2000 and 2011 and scored a total of two goals.
