Drilon Shala (born March 20, 1987 in Prizren , SFR Yugoslavia , today Kosovo ) is a Finnish football player of Kosovar descent. His brother Driton (* 1997) is also active as a professional football player.

Career

society

Shala was born as the son of Kosovar Albanians in Prizren and had to leave the country with his family during the war in Yugoslavia . As war refugees, they settled in Finland . Here he played club football in the youth departments of various amateur clubs. He then began to work as an amateur player for the Tampereen Peli-Pojat-70 club . In the summer of 2006 he moved to FC Lahti and played here until the spring of 2013. In 2010 he was loaned to FC Hämeenlinna .

For the winter transfer period 2012/13 he moved to the Turkish TFF 1st Lig to TKİ Tavşanlı Linyitspor . At the end of the season, his contract was terminated by mutual agreement.

National team

Shala was active three times for the Finnish U-19 national team in 2006.
