history
The Bijeli Brijeg Stadium in Mostar was built in 1958. With a capacity of 25,000 spectators, it is the second largest stadium in the country after the Asim Ferhatović Hase stadium in Sarajevo . In the 1970s and 1980s there was even more than 35,000 spectators in this stadium. Until the Bosnian War , this stadium was the home of FK Velež Mostar . After the war, the stadium, which was owned by the newly founded municipality of Mostar South-West, was given to the HŠK Zrinjski Mostar.
HŠK Zrinjski Mostar has played its home games in this stadium since 1994, after the club was re-established that year. Zrinjski Mostar has been champion four times in Bosnia and Herzegovina (2004/05, 2008/09, 2013/2014 and 2015/2016). In addition, he won the national cup in the 2007/08 season . The success of Zrinjski also ensured that several top international clubs such as Maccabi Petach Tikwa , FK Partizan Belgrade and Sporting Braga also played at this stadium .
