Pavel Horváth (born April 22, 1975 in Prague ) is a Czech football player .

Player career

Pavel Horváth played for Sparta Prague from the age of six . After the debut for Sparta in the 1st division in 1994, the midfielder moved to FK Jablonec , where he quickly became a regular. In the summer of 1996 Slavia Prague bought it for about 20 million crowns . There he developed into a dangerous midfield director. On February 9, 1999, he made his first international appearance for the Czech Republic . He was also part of the Czech EM team in 2000 . Horváth moved to Sporting Lisbon after the European Championships and in September 2001 to Galatasaray Istanbul . There he stayed only a few months and went to FK Teplice in January 2002 . Horváth made his last international match on April 17, 2002 against Greece .

In the summer of 2004, the Japanese club Vissel Kobe signed him , who was coached by the Czech coach Ivan Hašek at that time . In Kobe, Horváth was one of the service providers.

In the middle of September 2006 Pavel Horváth moved to Sparta Prague . In the league game in August 2007 between Sparta Prague and Viktoria Žižkov , Horváth caused a stir when, shortly before the final whistle, he raised his right arm several times in the direction of the fan block after his substitution and performed the Hitler salute. For this action he was fined around 7,000 euros by the Czech Football Association .

Horváth moved to FC Viktoria Plzen for the 2008/09 season , where he is currently the captain.
