Ondřej Herzán (born March 3, 1981 in Pardubice ) is a Czech football player .
Club career
Ondřej Herzán played for Slovan Broumov, SK Náchod and SK Pardubice in his youth. In 1998, the midfielder moved to the second division club Atlantic Lázně Bohdaneč , where he was able to collect first match practice in the senior division. In 2000 Atlantic Lázně Bohdaneč merged with Slovan Pardubice, Herzán made 29 games for the new club and scored five goals. In 2001 he moved to the Gambrinus League for FK Jablonec , where he was regularly on the starting line-up. In 2004 he turned down an offer from Sigma Olomouc , only to move to Sparta Prague a short time later .
In the strong competition of the top club, the slender Herzán could hardly prevail and played only 12 games in the first team within two years. In the second-rate B team, however, he played regularly.
In early September 2006, Ondřej Herzán was committed by the Italian Serie B league team US Lecce , which was looked after by the Czech-Italian coach Zdeněk Zeman at that time . Herzán was a substitute player in Lecce . In August 2007 he was signed by Hellas Verona . In January 2008, Herzán initially moved to Spezia Calcio on loan , and in June 2008 the change was final.
After the bankruptcy of Spezia Calcio, Herzán moved to SK Kladno on loan in October 2008 . In January 2009, Herzán returned to La Spezia .
National team
Ondřej Herzán played two internationals for the Czech U-17 team, two for the U-20 and four for the U-21 team .
