Jaromír Blažek [ ˈjarɔ̹miːr ˈblaʒɛk ] (born December 29, 1972 in Brno ) is a Czech football goalkeeper .

society

Blažek's eventful career began in Blansko near Brno and led from there to the capital Prague to the Czechoslovak first division club Slavia . As a substitute goalkeeper, he made his first league appearances there from 1990 to 1992. Then he went to České Budějovice as number 1 for a year .

In 1993, the division of Czechoslovakia and with it a new first division , in which Blažek played for Viktoria Žižkov and won his first title with the cup.

The following year he moved back to the capital for FC Bohemians Prague . However, the Bohemians were relegated this year and instead of playing in the second division, he was loaned to his old club Slavia Prague as a substitute goalkeeper in the first division for a year. After the rise, he remained loyal to the Bohemians, even when they spent two more years in the second division.

After rising again, he seized the opportunity during the season to switch to the top club and series champion Sparta Prague and won two championships in a row with them.

But since he was not set as a regular goalkeeper, he went to league rivals Marila Příbram for a year in 2001 .

After his return in 2002 he was finally able to prevail and was the undisputed number 1 between the posts. Not only in the championship and the two cup wins, but also in the numerous Champions League appearances of the club, he was considered an important support at Sparta Prague.

On May 2, 2007, 1. FC Nürnberg announced that Blažek would play for the Franks from the 2007/08 season . He received a contract until the summer of 2009.

At FCN Blažek was signed to replace Raphael Schäfer , who moved to VfB Stuttgart in the summer of 2007 . Since the number 2 in the pre-season with the Nuremberg team, Daniel Klewer , had impressed with good trophy performance, the goalkeeper question decided in favor of the more experienced Blažek at the start of the season. After a difficult season with an unstable defense, which the Czech also contributed to the uncertainty with one or two mistakes, 1. FC Nürnberg found themselves in a relegation zone. The tense situation erupted on matchday 21, when he tried to calm the club fans with a gesture after the equalizer from relegation competitor FC Energie Cottbus. The audience resented this and started “Daniel Klewer” speaking choirs. In the following home game, Thomas von Heesen also preferred this as goalkeeper. After only three games, however, Blažek returned to the starting line-up when Klewer was out with tonsillitis. The goalkeeper managed to reconcile himself with the fans in the home game against VfL Wolfsburg when he saved a penalty shot by Marcelinho , even if the game was later abandoned due to heavy rain and not counted. However, the eventful season for Blažek came to an early end shortly afterwards when he had to be replaced after a torn muscle fiber in his abdominal wall and did not return in the last few weeks until the end of the season. The 2007/08 season ended with the relegation of 1. FC Nürnberg to the 2. Bundesliga.

After only one season with the Franks, Blažek announced his return to Sparta Prague in June 2008, where he received a two-year contract with an option for another year. There he came on August 9, 2008, the second game day of the second division to a use with the second team. His first appearance with the first team was on October 19, 2008, the tenth match day. Then he was used in all league games until the end of the season. After losing his regular place in the first half of the 2011/12 season, he moved to the second division club FC Vysočina Jihlava during the winter break , with whom he was promoted to the Gambrinus League.
