The Football League Third Division 1931/32 was the twelfth season of the third highest English football league . The division, which is divided into the north and south, had their two champions, Lincoln City and Fulham FC, and at the same time promoted to the Football League Second Division . Only the AFC Thames had to relegate from both third division seasons . In addition, Wigan Borough had withdrawn its participation after twelve match days and the results obtained were deleted for the table. For the two promoted teams in the following third division season 1932/33, the two second division clubs FC Barnsley and Bristol City ranked in the table below . For AFC Thames and Mansfield Town , which has been regrouped in the northern season , the two newly promoted Newport County and FC Aldershot have been included in the third division in the south . The also below located AFC New Brighton , AFC Rochdale and in the south Gillingham FC received enough votes in the re-election process of the league association to be allowed to participate again in the Third Division in the following 1932/33 season.
