The Football League Second Division 1994/95 was the third season of the Football League Second Division as the third highest English football league and 68th third division playing time overall. Third division champions were Birmingham City and next rose after play-off successes against FC Brentford and the Bristol Rovers also Huddersfield Town in the Football League First Division .

For the following third division season 1995/96, the league with Swindon Town , Burnley FC , Bristol City and Notts County had to include four relegated teams from the top division. With Cambridge United , Plymouth Argyle , Cardiff City , Chester City and Leyton Orient , five clubs had to be relegated from the Second Division.The fourth division champions Carlisle United , placed behind them, and Walsall FC , took two free places for the following season in 1995/96 Play-off winners Chesterfield FC one.
