The EFL League One 2018/19 is the 15th season of the English EFL League One as the third highest English division after the Premier League and the EFL Championship . At the same time it is the 27th season of the second highest division of the English Football League after the introduction of the Premier League in 1992. It began on August 4, 2018 and ended with the final of the promotion play-offs on May 26, 2019. The two best placed Clubs are promoted directly to the EFL Championship, the clubs in positions three to six play in play-off mode for the third promotion position. The teams in the last four places have to be relegated.
