EFL League Two 2018/19
EFL League One 2019/20

The EFL League Two 2019/20 was the 16th season of the English EFL League Two as the fourth highest English division behind the Premier League , the EFL Championship and the EFL League One as well as the 28th season of the third highest division of the English Football League after the introduction of the Premier League in 1992.

It started on August 3, 2018 and was originally supposed to end on April 25, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the EFL interrupted all three leagues on March 13, 2020 until April 3, 2020, on which day the season was ultimately canceled. At this time, the clubs had completed 36 and 37 league games. On May 15, 2020, the clubs voted that the table status would be determined using a point quotient. The play-off games were not canceled and were held in early July 2020.

1 Macclesfield Town were deducted six points in December 2019 for failing to pay outstanding player salaries and unable to play a league game against Crewe Alexandra. This penalty was reduced to four points in March 2020. In the meantime, the club had received another seven-point deduction as they did not play against Plymouth Argyle in December 2019 either. In June 2020, Macclesfield was again deducted two points, increasing the total deduction to 13 points. The English Football League appealed against the amount of the punk deduction, and on August 11, 2020, Macclesfield was deducted four more points, which were initially suspended. As a result, Macclesfield fell to the bottom of the table and had to relegate. Since the third division FC Bury had already stopped playing in August 2019 and there was only one relegated to the National League, Stevenage held the class as the penultimate.
