The Football League One 2006/07 was the third season of the Football League Two as the fourth highest English division behind the Premier League , the Football League Championship and the Football League One as well as the 15th season of the third highest division of the Football League after the introduction of the Premier League in 1992.
The three best-ranked clubs FC Walsall , Hartlepool United and Swindon Town rose directly to Football League One. The clubs in places four to seven determined the fourth promoted team in play-off mode. Here the Bristol Rovers prevailed.
Boston United and Torquay United rose to the National League and were replaced by Dagenham & Redbridge and Morecambe FC the following season .
