The Football League One 2007/08 was the fourth season of the Football League Two as the fourth highest English division behind the Premier League , the Football League Championship and the Football League One as well as the 16th season of the third highest division of the Football League after the introduction of the Premier League in 1992.
The three best-placed clubs Milton Keynes Dons , Peterborough United and Hereford United rose directly to Football League One. The clubs in places four to seven determined the fourth promoted team in play-off mode. Here the Stockport County prevailed.
Mansfield Town and Wrexham FC rose to the National League and were replaced by Aldershot Town and Exeter City the following season .
