The Football League Fourth Division 1969/70 was the twelfth season of the fourth highest English football league . The top four teams were promoted to the Football League Third Division .

Bradford Park Avenue was replaced by Cambridge United the following season . The Newport County , FC Darlington and Hartlepools United , which were also among the last four , received enough votes in the reelection process of the League Association to be allowed to participate again in the Fourth Division in the following 1970/71 season.
