history

FC Aldershot was founded in 1926 and joined the Southern Football League the following year . In 1932, the team won the championship there and was elected to the Football League, where they first competed in the Third Division South . Here she placed primarily in the lower half of the table and was assigned to the newly founded fourth-class fourth division after an 18th place in the table in the summer of 1958 . In 1973 the team rose again to the third division, but could only hold here until 1976. In 1987 FC Aldershot won the newly introduced relegation games and returned to the third division. Playing directly against relegation, the team clearly missed relegation in 1989 as bottom of the table with eight wins in 46 games. As a result, the club got more and more financial problems. Ultimately, the club had to file for bankruptcy in the spring of 1992 while the game was running.
