The Football League Second Division 1993/94 was the second season of the Football League Second Division as the third highest English football league and 67th third division season overall. Third division champions were Reading FC and also rose to second-placed Port Vale and after play-off successes against Plymouth Argyle and Stockport County of Burnley FC in the Football League First Division .

For the three promoted teams in the following third division season 1994/95, the three second division clubs Birmingham City , Oxford United and Peterborough United ranked in the table below . Fulham FC , Exeter City , Hartlepool United and Barnet FC had to relegate from the Second Division . Instead of these four clubs, the fourth division champions Shrewsbury Town , followed by Chester City and Crewe Alexandra and the play-off winner Wycombe Wanderers took the vacant positions in the following season 1994/95 .
